Standing alongside his wife and eight children, Republican candidate Len Munsil talked about his Arizona pride, saying he's pro-family.

"(Arizona has) a pioneering heritage of rugged individualism, limited government, swift justice and bold initiatives," he said.

At times, Munsil criticized Governor Janet Napolitano's work in office the last 12 years, calling her a "photo-op" governor.

"The incumbent, however, has perfected the art of calling a press conference, posing for a photo op and then not doing anything she has pledged to do," he said.

But after posing for his own pictures, Munsil didn't want to talk specifics regarding his stance on issues like abortion, prayer in schools and a proposed wall at the border.

"We're going to address those issues more thoroughly as we go," he said. "This is an announcement day."
