The wife of Arizona Senator John McCain is recovering at the Mayo Clinic after undergoing a revision to knee replacement surgery.
Doctors at Mayo Hospital say Cindy McCain required the surgery because a ligament did not respond to non-surgical treatment.
Senator McCain says his wife should be in the hospital for three days and that her recovery should take a few months.
She originally suffered the injury when she turned the leg while shopping.
