TUCSON, Ariz. - Tucson police are investigating six recent burglaries they say are ``sexually motivated'' and have targeted the homes of women living alone near the University of Arizona.
Police Officer Chuck Rydzak says the first burglary took place on Aug. 30 and the most recent one was Tuesday.
He says the suspect, who is in his 20s, likely is conducting surveillance on the victims' homes before he strikes between midnight and 4 a.m. when the women are at home sleeping.
Rydzak says the suspect has been ``very aggressive'' and has ``violent tendencies,'' but did not elaborate. While he says the crimes are sexually motivated, he says he can't say whether the women were sexually assaulted.
Rydzak says the suspect is taking small items he can easily carry, like cell phones.
