Bio: Mac Watson
Years with the company: Two, but have been in radio for 16 years. Before that I was in publishing as an editor.
Career: I started my stellar broadcasting career at a low-watt, daytime radio station running baseball games and announcing thunderstorm warnings. At midnight, I would turn off the transmitter and fill the toilet tank with a hose snaked through the window that was attached to a National Guard Potable Water Tank. Good times.
Started talk radio career three months before 9/11. Talk about a baptism by fire.
More on what you do (at work): Gaydos and I usually roll in early, yell at each other, do the show and leave. We come in the next day and do it all over again.
Education: Slacked all through school. My real education came when life kicked me in the gut.
Family: Neurotic mother, crazy father and a sister who doesn't like radio. Perfectly normal childhood.
Favorite food: Anything the Infamous Girlfriend cooks.
Favorite spot in Arizona: Grand Canyon.
News memory that will stick with you forever: Obviously, 9/11. It's Generation x's and y's Pearl Harbor or Kennedy Assassination. And when I had to report the death of an ex-girlfriend. We had just broken up two weeks earlier.
Favorite movie: 'This Is Spinal Tap'
First job: Delivering paper products in the Hood.
First concert: Rush Grace Under Pressure Tour. I still have the t-shirt but don't ask me to wear it.
#1 sports team: Arizona Cardinals..they're going back to the Super Bowl!
Outside interests: I usually don't go outside, but when I do, I swim laps in the Arizona sun....everyday.
